Active Directory

Active Directory (AD) is a centralized service that controls access and permissions for users and groups on campus. Campus technical support staff (ITS or CITC) are empowered to manage groups and permissions within their college or department using AD.

Service Details




Requests for changes or support may only be made by campus technical support staff (ITS or CITC). Each college/department is given an Organizational Unit (OU) in Active Directory which they are free to create any objects within. The only requirement is that any object created (computer, group, account, etc) is prefixed with the department abbreviation.
