Cal Poly's network is protected by firewalls in order to prevent unwanted, malicious inbound traffic. Some apps require pinholes in order to get access to the network through the firewall. Pinholes are only allowed on the Cal Poly network if they have been reviewed and approved by the Information Security Office as necessary and securable.
