Remote Support (BeyondTrust)

BeyondTrust (formerly Bomgar) is a remote support solution that allows support technicians to connect to customer computers to provide immediate assistance no matter where the customers or technicians are located. The tool enables support technicians to perform troubleshooting, chat with the customer, and perform file transfers required to resolve issues.

BeyondTrust support licenses are only available to campus technical support staff (ITS or CITC).    Made possible through Cal Poly funds, no additional charges.

Using BeyondTrust



The customer will be given a one-time session key to connect their computer to the technician. While a customer's computer is being controlled by a technician using remote support, the computer cannot be used by the customer.
