In Outlook, junk is considered spam, or unsolicited, bulk – and often unwanted – email. Phishing is designed to trick you into sharing personal information like usernames, passwords, basically anything that can be used to gain access to your identity and accounts. Report junk and phishing emails through Outlook. ## Outlook

### Microsoft 365 Outlook - Browser

1. Select the email, then from the top menu click the **Report drop-down arrow.**
2. Choose **Report** **junk** or **phishing**.

### Windows

1. Select the email, click the **Report Message **button.
2. Mark the email as **Junk** or **Phishing**.

### Mac

1. Select the email,
2. Mark the email as **Junk** or **Phishing**.

Depending on the version of Outlook you're using, you may need to select the email, then from the top menu click the three dots (ellipsis), to reveal **Report Message**.

> ⚠️ Mail is automatically removed from the Junk email folder after 14 days and is not recoverable.
