## Problem

"Cal Poly [University Brand](https://universitymarketing.calpoly.edu/brand-guidelines/typography/) fonts do not appear in Microsoft Office applications even after activating them in Adobe Creative Cloud."

## Solutions

**Install the University Brand Fonts using the Adobe Creative Cloud App**

1. Follow the instructions provided in the **[Cal Poly UCM FONT ACTIVATION GUIDE](https://ucm.calpoly.edu/font-activation-guide)**.
2. **IMPORTANT:** If you plan to use the fonts in Microsoft 365 apps, you’ll need to click the **Install family button**, to install for Non-Adobe apps, for each font in your Adobe Creative Cloud collection.

*If you are still having issues after installing the fonts, try deactivating them and then re-activating them in an Adobe Creative Cloud app…*

**Deactivate and Re-activate the Fonts**

1. Close all opened Office applications.
2. From the taskbar (Windows) or Apple menu bar (macOS), open the Creative Cloud desktop app, click the **Creative Cloud icon.**
3. From the **RESOURCE LINKS** menu > **Manage fonts**, deactivate the Abolition, Utopia, and Source Sans fonts by toggling the **DEACTIVATE** switch.
4. From the profile menu (upper right), click **Sign out**, then click the **Continue** button. You should now be signed out of Creative Cloud.
5. Go to the [Creative Cloud desktop app page](https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/desktop-app.html).
6. From the top right of the page, click the **Sign In** link. Enter your Cal Poly email (e.g., [jmustang@calpoly.edu](mailto:jmustang@calpoly.edu)) and click the **Continue** button. Then click on **Company or School account**.
7. Enter your Cal Poly username and password. Click the** Login** button.
8. From the **RESOURCE LINKS** menu > **Manage fonts**. Click the **Browse more fonts** button, search for the fonts (Abolition, Utopia, and Source Sans), and toggle to **Activate** the fonts in your Adobe account.
9. Open an Adobe app like Photoshop and open or create a file. This step seems to *apply* the fonts.
10. Now, when you open any Office applications you should see the fonts.
