Software Center is the app store for Cal Poly owned Windows computers and is available to all staff and faculty or students using [Tech Rentals](https://calpoly.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CPKB/pages/2425231) PCs. It simplifies device deployment, inventory and security. Software Center includes:

- Search Bar
- Applications
- Updates
- Operating Systems
- Installation status

### To access the Software Center app on Windows:

1. From the **Start Menu**, enter "Software Center" in the search bar.
  
2. Run the **Software Center App.**
3. Browse or search for the item you want to install, then click on the icon and click **Install**.

To Complete Device Compliance (needed for BitLocker recovery)

1. From the **Start Menu**, enter "Software Center" in the search bar.
  
2. Run the **Software Center App.**
3. From the left-side menu, click on **Device compliance.**
  
4. Click **Check compliance**.

5. After a short period, the **Compliance Status** displays under the Computer Name.
