Follow these steps to log into your IP Phone for the first time, activate voicemail, and make sure the phone is working properly for incoming and outgoing calls.

> 1. Press **LogOn** in the bottom-left corner of the phone’s display.
>

> 2. Using the number pad on your phone, **type your 5-digit extension ***(for example 67310)*, then choose** Done.**
>

> 3. Next, **type your password ***(10-digit telephone number, for example, 8057567310)*, then choose** Done**.

> > ⚠️ Phone Login Password is your full 10-digit phone number NOT your [Voice Mailbox Password](https://calpoly.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CPKB/pages/2425505)

> 4. Your extension should now appear on your phone’s display screen.

> 5. Complete your IP Phone voicemail activation and check functionality by placing the following calls in order:
>   1. **Place a call from your phone to 66245, to activate your voicemail** if this is a new telephone service.
>   2. **Place a call from your phone to your cell phone** by dialing 71(xxx)xxx-xxxx to verify your phone is able to call out.
>   3. **Place a call into your phone from your cell phone** by dialing your full 10-digit telephone number to verify your phone is taking calls, and your voicemail is working properly.
> 6. Your IP Phone is now ready for you to use.
> 7. **To log off:** Press **Log Off** in the bottom-left corner of the display, then choose either Clear or Keep your Call List by pressing **Select.**

> 1. Using the number pad on your phone, **type your 5-digit extension ***(for example 67310)*, then **choose Enter **by pressing the down-arrow key** **on the direction pad.  
> **NOTE: If you have an extension that has the same number twice, pause a second when entering in between those numbers. **
> 2. Next, **type your password ***(10-digit telephone number, for example, 8057567310)*, then **choose Enter **by pressing the down arrow key on the direction pad.

> 3. Your extension should now appear on your phone’s display screen.

> 4. Complete your IP Phone voicemail activation and check functionality by placing the following calls in order:
