Microsoft 365 is a web-based suite of apps for communication and collaboration, including online versions of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Forms, OneNote,  and OneDrive. 

> ℹ️ - Faculty & staff with state-issued/maintained computers can use [Software Center (on Windows) ](https://calpoly.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CPKB/pages/1738342981)or [Self Service (on Mac)](https://calpoly.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CPKB/pages/1683718145) to install Microsoft 365 software.
> ℹ️ - Campus computer security policy **prohibits use of a personal Microsoft account on state-owned/ITS managed devices**.
> ℹ️ - Emeritus and CSU bargaining units 5, 6 and 11 have access to the [web-based Microsoft 365 applications](https://calpoly.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CPKB/pages/195362820) only.

## Microsoft 365 Access

### Direct

Go to [office.com](https://www.office.com/) and log in using your Cal Poly email address and password.

### My Cal Poly Portal

1. Log in to the [My Cal Poly Portal](https://myportal.calpoly.edu/) > **My Apps **> **Email & Calendar.**
2. In the upper left-hand corner of the page, click on the app launcher > Macro (inline-media-image)

3. Select an app or click the [Microsoft 365](https://www.office.com/) link.
