Cal Poly email lists are created and managed using a mailing list management tool called Sympa. Faculty, instructors, staff and owners of department or club accounts can manage their email distribution lists through the My Cal Poly Portal.

> ⚠️ Sympa lists <u>cannot</u> be created from a personal account - they can only be created by departmental accounts.

> ℹ️ If any duplicate email addresses exist, the Sympa system only sends one email per unique email address.

## Quickstart

Department accounts, faculty, instructors, and staff have direct access to Sympa via the [My Cal Poly Portal](https://myportal.calpoly.edu/) > **My Apps **> **Email Distribution Lists **using a department or club account.
