Learn how to allow only those with Cal Poly accounts, specifically an @calpoly.edu email address, to enter your Zoom meeting.

## When scheduling a meeting

Under **Advanced Options**, make sure** Only authenticated users can join **>** Cal Poly Only** is selected. If some of your attendees are not from Cal Poly, you will need to uncheck this setting for them to enter the meeting or require them to **Sign in to Zoom**.

> **CSUM Account User Still Experiencing Issues When Attempting to join Cal Poly-hosted Zoom meetings?**
>
> - Solano Campus users attempting to join may be **placed in a waiting room,** and only the meeting **host (not co-hosts) can see and admit **these participants.
> - If CSUM users are unable to join, the **meeting host should edit meeting settings and update permissions** to allow non-Cal Poly (csum.edu) users to join.
>
> **Why Is This Happening?**
> A trust relationship is now in place between the Cal Poly and Solano Campus Zoom tenants, which allows users from both domains to join meetings seamlessly. However, meetings that were created before this configuration was enabled **may still have restricted access **settings.

> ℹ️ - When [logging in to Zoom](https://calpoly.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CPKB/pages/2425405), if you are asked to enter an email and password, use your Cal Poly email and password. If you are given the option **Login with SSO**, select it and enter "calpoly" as the **company domain**.
> ℹ️ - Students must use their @[calpoly.edu](http://calpoly.edu/) email address to log in to their Zoom account; otherwise, they may not be able to log in to a meeting, properly access breakout rooms, or other Zoom features.
> ℹ️ - Affiliate, emeritus, and student applicant accounts receive a [basic Cal Poly Zoom account, which has limited functionality](https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201363173-Account-types#usertype).
