## **CSUM Email Migration: Log In and Set Up**

### **What to know**

- Beginning July 8, CSUM users were provided access to email through [My Cal Poly Portal](https://myportal.calpoly.edu/).
- For one year, emails and calendar invitations sent to your `@csum.edu` address will automatically forward to your `@calpoly.edu` account.
- Once your `calpoly.edu` account is active, notify contacts and update any accounts or subscriptions that use your `csum.edu` email address.

## **Accessing Your New @calpoly.edu Email**

### **1. Log in to Webmail**

- Log in to your computer using your CSUM credentials.
- Log in to [My Cal Poly Portal](https://myportal.calpoly.edu/) with your Cal Poly credentials, or [get account help](https://calpoly.atlassian.net/wiki/x/bAAl).
- Under **My Apps**, navigate to **Webmail**, then select **Email & Calendar** and confirm access to your account.
- **Note:** Chrome, Firefox, or Safari are recommended.

### **2. Set up your desktop mail client (optional)**

Once you have confirmed your account and logged in to Webmail, you can set up your Outlook mail client:

- [Windows instructions](https://calpoly.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CPKB/pages/3558408211/Solano+Campus+Setting+Up+Outlook+Desktop+Application#Instructions-for-Windows%3A)
- [Mac/iOS instructions](https://calpoly.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CPKB/pages/3558408211/Solano+Campus+Setting+Up+Outlook+Desktop+Application#Instructions-for-Mac%3A)

> ℹ️ It is recommended that you log in to the Cal Poly Portal to confirm access before setting up your mail client.

## **Outlook Tips and Troubleshooting**

**Reminder:** Use Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. Edge is not recommended.

### **1. Tip: Use separate browsers for CSUM and Cal Poly applications**

As applications are migrated, you may still need to access some using your CSUM credentials. This can cause a caching issue.

To remedy this, choose one browser (such as Chrome) for Cal Poly applications and another (such as Firefox) for CSUM applications.

**Note:** Use Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. Edge is not recommended.

### **2. Issue: You still see your CSUM inbox in Webmail**

If you launch email from the Cal Poly Portal and still see your CSUM inbox, or receive an error indicating that your inbox cannot be found or you no longer have access, cached credentials from a previous session may be the cause.

To resolve the issue:

- [Clear your browser cache and cookies](https://tech.calpoly.edu/space/CPKB/18907287/Clear+My+Browser+Cache+and+Cookies) for the appropriate browser.
- Return to the My Cal Poly Portal and select **Email & Calendar** to sign in with your Cal Poly account.

### **3. Issue: You still see your CSUM inbox on Desktop**

On the left-hand side, scroll down to see whether your `calpoly.edu` account has loaded to your inbox. If it has not, follow the [Outlook setup instructions](https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/calpoly.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CPKB/pages/3549298697/Solano*Campus*Migrating*Microsoft*365*Office__;KysrKys!!IV6Ez-DflYCT!bY6jLuE-pXvmD0RyT4bzEvcGUoX_1ilz9FHBq9jI7K9WfCUEBaqw0HKXMeHuLnPuZjyZ_ZQwpjUf4HtGOPR4kE8EpSFr$) for Windows or Mac/iOS mail clients.

- Find your `@csum.edu` account and right-click it.
- Select **Manage Account**.
- In the window that opens, find your `@csum.edu` account and select **Manage**.
- Select **Remove**.

### **4. Issue: You are not receiving emails**

Check whether forwarding is enabled on your `@calpoly.edu` account.

- In Outlook Desktop or Webmail, go to **File > Mail > Forwarding**.
- To disable forwarding, ensure the toggle button is off.

## **Zoom Meetings**

1. Launch the Zoom app.
2. Click **Sign In**.
3. Click **Login with SSO**.
4. Enter `calpoly` as the company domain and click **Continue**.
5. Enter your Cal Poly username and password to start using Zoom.

## **Zoom Phone**

1. Unplug your Zoom phone and plug it back in to register it with your Cal Poly account.
2. Once registered, follow [these instructions to update your voicemail and greeting](https://tech.calpoly.edu/space/CPKB/3549265925/Solano+Campus:+Migrating+Zoom+Phones).
