Learn how to get started with LastPass.

### Faculty and staff

1. To request access, click the **Submit** button on the [LastPass Enrollment Form](https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=2wING578lUSVNx03nMoq5y5zdHF8Oh9Arwuq5YosCLpUQTBJNk5OVDdVRFBIQURENEUwTVA1NjZMRi4u).
2. Before setting up LastPass, you must enroll your device(s) with [Multi-Factor Authentication (Duo)](https://calpoly.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CPKB/pages/3539066). You will need to add a primary and secondary device.
3. You will receive an email invitation from LastPass with your username and a temporary password.
4. To activate your account, click the link and reset your master password. This is the only password you have to remember, so make it a good one!

### Students

<summary>Learn how to get started with LastPass for students</summary>

1. Go to [lastpass.com/partnerpremium/calpoly](https://lastpass.com/partnerpremium/calpoly).
2. Enter your Cal Poly email address. Then enter the personal email address you would like to be tied to your new LastPass account. NOTE: *When creating your LastPass account, do not use your Cal Poly email address as your personal email address.*
3. You will receive an email invitation from LastPass, via your Cal Poly address, with a link to create your account.
4. To activate your account, enter your email address and a master password. *This is the only password you have to remember, so make it a good one!*
5. Click the **Create My Account **button.

> ℹ️ - LastPass is an annual subscription. After a year, students will be prompted to enter their Cal Poly username and password confirming they are still a Cal Poly student. At that time, their LastPass account will be renewed for another year.
> ℹ️ - If a student graduates during their subscription, once the subscription ends, their information will remain in LastPass and they will be downgraded to a free account, or they can choose to pay for a premium account.
