## Problem

"When I use ArcGIS in Virtual Computer Labs, the app is slow or crashes."

## Solution

Change the display rendering engine to OpenGL.

1. Go to the Virtual Computer Labs <span style="color: #091e42">[CAD](https://idp.calpoly.edu/idp/profile/SAML2/Unsolicited/SSO?providerId=urn:amazon:webservices&target=https://appstream2.us-west-2.aws.amazon.com/saml?stack=Prod-Labs-GraphicsDesign-CAD%26accountId=102042365035)</span><span style="color: #091e42"> stack and launch ArcGIS Pro.</span>
2. From the ArcGIS Pro splash page, select **Settings** > **Options** > **Display**.
3. Tick<span style="color: #091e42"> the </span><span style="color: #091e42">**OpenGL**</span><span style="color: #091e42"> radio butto</span>n and click the **OK** button. If a project is open, it will save and reopen the project with the new settings.
