Cal Poly Account

A Cal Poly account is issued to every student, staff, faculty, and member of the Cal Poly community. It's the key to accessing university resources, like the My Cal Poly Portal, Email & Calendar, and WiFi, among others. Your Cal Poly username is the same as your email address and your password must meet complex password requirements. In order to keep your account secure, you are required to use multi-factor authentication (MFA) to verify your identity when you log in and change your password annually.

New students are prompted to set up their account during the application process and retain their account throughout their time as a student at Cal Poly.

 

A Cal Poly account is provided to staff and faculty when their relationship with campus begins and expires when their relationship ends. Human Resources and Academic Personnel coordinate the process.

For students, faculty, and staff, this service is made possible through Cal Poly funds, with no additional charges. Guest accounts cost $4.17 per month and are paid for by the Cal Poly department that is sponsoring the guest.
